Do you know Jesus?
Knowing Jesus is the most important decision you will ever make in your life. I want to share a few scriptures with you.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
What does this mean? It means that you will live with Him in Heaven for eternity. You become born again (not your body but your spirit) and immediately the Holy Spirit comes to live within you and becomes your comforter and your teacher.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Although the world teaches that there are many ways to God the truth is there is only one way to the Father and that is by confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Why do I believe the Bible and Jesus are the truth and the only way? The biggest reason is because all the other gods are dead and buried. Also, the Bible is the only book where prophecies have come to pass. Other books put out by other religions cannot claim that their god is alive through countless witnesses or that there were ever any prophecies to tell of their coming. The Old Testament is full of prophecies that tell of the coming of Jesus from His birth to His death and there are countless witnesses who saw them come to pass and wrote them down for us in the New Testament.
John 1:29b
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Jesus was the Lamb that took away the sins of the world. The Old Testament was bulls and goats and sacrifice after sacrifice but when Jesus submitted to the Cross He took on the sins of the entire world. The issue isn't sin. The issue is accepting what He did for each of us individually and believing that He died on the Cross for you.
If you have not asked Jesus into your heart, please say this prayer below out loud as the scripture teaches us that we must confess it with our mouth and believe it in our hearts.
THE SALVATION PRAYER...
Father, I just thank you that you wash me in the blood of Jesus and forgive me for all my sins. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
Father, I thank You that You write my name in the Lambs Book of Life.
Father, I surrender my heart to You, and I worship You. I want to be Your child, and I want You to be my Father. Forgive me of my sins Lord. I admit that I have been a sinner and need your grace.
Create in me a clean heart and put a right spirit within me. Change me as you see fit Lord. Make me more like Your Son.
Father, I thank You that because of this decision today I am now free from sin and even sickness and disease and I don't have to go to Hell because you have now saved and redeemed me.
Father, I come to You boldly and ask that you fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I thank You for what Your Son did on the Cross over 2000 years ago and I also thank You for what You did for me right this minute. I thank you for my salvation and for delivering me from the Devil and that I am now choosing to walk away from sin and turn from my wicked ways.
Father if I do sin, I am not going to run from You, I am going to run to You. I will repent and ask for your grace to help me through every new trial that comes my way as I grow spiritually, mentally and emotionally in You.
I am going to grow with You. I am going to read my Bible, and I am going to pray every day and seek You in Jesus' name. Amen
